Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are looking for a reliable, team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare family.

Job Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will act as an essential member of our clinical team, helping patients feel comfortable while collaborating directly with our provider. You will be responsible for a balance of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure our practice runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Intake: Greet patients, record medical history, and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temp, weight, O2 sat).
• Clinical Prep: Prepare exam rooms, ensure supplies are stocked, and sanitize areas between patient visits, clear any trash daily.
• Procedures & Testing: Assist providers with physical exams and minor procedures. Perform routine clinical tests, including phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and administer immunizations.
• Administrative Duties: Update and chart on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Handle patient phone calls, triage messages, and manage referrals or prescription refills.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program is preferred.
• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. CPR / BLS certification required. HIPPA certified required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar clinical or family practice setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, computer literacy, EHR literacy, excellent telephone skills, can handle difficult patients with professionalism and excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of medical terminology.
