JACOA, licensed by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, provides Alcohol and Drug Residential Rehabilitation for up to 41 clients. Additionally, it offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (I.O.P.) and DUI School Services to a wide range of service recipients across West Tennessee and beyond. As a facility equipped for co-occurring disorders (CODC), JACOA delivers a comprehensive continuum of care to address the diverse needs of its clients.
Role Description
This full-time on-site role is based in Chester, and involves providing nursing support and care for individuals undergoing substance abuse rehabilitation treatment. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring client health, administering medications, maintaining accurate medical records, collaborating with the treatment team, and ensuring a high standard of care. The nursing staff member will also provide education and guidance to clients about health-related matters.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credentials, valid in the state of Tennessee
- Experience or familiarity with substance abuse treatment settings and co-occurring disorders
- Proficiency in maintaining medical records and administering medications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff
- Basic knowledge of counseling principles and therapeutic practices is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility, empathy, and strong organizational abilities
- Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
